The Britax Advocate 70 cs is a Britax product that’s ranked at the top of the baby carrier mountain. I like the Britax Boulevard and it’s a close matchup for Britax Advocate vs Boulevard.
I think Britax makes the best car seats today and especially makes the best convertible seats. The Advocate and the Boulevard are both convertible car seats.
They both are designed to be rear facing from an infant or newborns weight of 5 pounds to a maximum of 40 pounds depending on a child’s height. The seat is turned to face forward from a child’s weight of 20-70 pounds. However I’d strongly recommend keeping your little one rear facing for as long as possible as it’s the safest position.
The only differences I’m aware of between the Britax Advocate 70 cs and the Britax Boulevard 70 cs are price, a safety feature and fabrics. First the price is close but the Advocate is a little higher. The Advocate is selling for $274.99 now on Amazon including free shipping. The Boulevard is priced at $248.98 today.
The 2nd difference in these two seats is the “side impact cushions” that the Advocate has. They appear to be airbags but they aren’t. They are extra protection which Britax says lessens the crash force of side impact collisions by 45%.
The fabric styles and colors are the only other actual differences in a Britax Advocate vs Boulevard matchup. There is a detailed review of the Britax Boulevard car seat on this site here.
More information is available on the Britax Advocate 70 CS here. The Advocate was updated and new fabrics and colors came out a few months ago.
