As you'll see in the reviews, the Chicco Keyfit get high car seat ratings for safety, comfort and ease of installation. The seat is large which allows room for children up to 30 pounds. Even though it is roomy the feature that’s mentioned by many reviewers is the insert which gives tiny newborns down to 4 pounds a safe and comfortable fit. The Britax B-Safe Infant SeatThe next seat in the list of best infant car seats is the Britax B-Safe infant seat. This is a relatively new seat and already has its legion of happy owners. It only has 13 reviews so far but they average 5 stars which is the highest rating possible. Britax makes great seats that I think set a high level for safety and comfort. The Britax B-Safe gets high ratings from owners for its plush fabric which easily wipes clean. This seat is also designed for children from 4-30 pounds and has an insert so that even the smallest baby will have a secure fit. The Britax B-Safe and the Chicco Keyfit are very similar seats. The Graco Snugride Infant SeatThe next seat on the list is the Graco Snugride infant car seat. Graco makes great seats and I’ve done a detailed review of this seat here. This Snugride is made for a child’s weight range of 5-22 pounds. It’s a lightweight seat but will have to be replaced sooner than the Keyfit or B-Safe since they are made for children up to 30 pounds.
