Cosco makes discount baby carriers that are solid, safe children’s seats. Cosco boosters definitely fit into that category and I want to review the cheapest car seat that Cosco makes.
The Cosco Juvenile Pronto Belt Positioning Booster Seat is priced low if your budget is limited and you’re looking for a booster seat. It’s selling now on Amazon for under $40 with free shipping.
This seat is designed for children from 30-100 pounds. A child’s height would range from 34 to 57 inches tall.
The seat has passed all of the U.S. safety tests and it has some nice features. The headrest is adjustable and it has a cup and snack holder. It’s easy to convert to a backless booster when your child outgrows the regular booster.
This seat is not a seat with a harness as it’s total seat positioning and restraining. I prefer a harness to restrain children for as long as possible but that’s one of the reasons it fits into the class of discount car seats.
Cosco booster seats like all of the cheaper car seats are priced low because the seats are not plush or built for comfort. They don’t have extras and serve a purpose of being a safety approved seat for those with limited budgets or limited need for a car seat.
They are perfect if you are buying it for use by a caretaker or maybe the grandparents who won’t be using it that much. Most of the owners who review it on Amazon like the seat and probably didn’t have high expectations about Cosco booster seats.
One reviewer noted that the plastic was flimsy and the seat seemed cheap. Cheap car seats are made of cheaper fabric and corners are cut like in any product that’s priced low.
The Cosco Juvenile belt positioning booster seat is one of a group of very low priced discount car seats that will do the job it’s designed to do. It will keep your kids safe and secure.
