The Triumph is a convertible seat that is rear facing from 5-35 pounds and then turned to face forward from 20-50 pounds depending on how tall your child is. Yes it doesn’t have everything that the Britax does but the price is right and it’s a dependable seat. 
It’s a big cushy seat that really isn’t designed for small cars. It’s heavy but that’s not unusual for a convertible seat. Many owners gush over how easy the seat is to install and if you’ve wrestled with car seat installation, that’s a big plus. The straps are adjusted from the front and that is a nice feature. It sure beats trying to do it from behind the seat. The Infinite Slide Harness The Evenflo Triumph car seat has a feature called an “Infinite Slide Harness” which does away with the possibility of having to rethread the harness to get the right fit. Cheap baby car seats often don’t have extras such as cup holders and this seat even has a cup holder that folds so it won’t be in the way if not being used. The pads are easy to remove and are meant to be tossed into the washing machine. The Triumph has the safety features that you need including a 5 point harness and high tech foam for absorbing energy in case of a crash. The seat has passed all U.S. federal testing for front and side impact accidents.

I like this seat but I’m not sure it’s in the same class with the best convertible car seats made by Britax and Graco. My favorite convertible is the Britax Boulevard car seat. The Britax Boulevard has many safety extras and will fit your child up to the weight of 70 pounds rather than the Triumph’s maximum of 50 pounds.
