Infant Car Seat Reviews: Chicco keyfit and the Evenflo SerenadeThere are a few infant car seat reviews on this site and one of them was a review of the Chicco Keyfit 30. In this article I want to compare the Keyfit with the Evenflo Serenade. The Serenade is a low priced infant seat that ranks number 6 on Amazon’s best seller list for infant seats. This surprised me as it doesn’t have too many owner reviews. 
The Evenflo Serenade Has an Extremely Low PriceThe fact is that the price of the Serenade is probably what makes it so desirable to many budget minded parents. The Evenflo Serenade Honeycomb Baja style is selling on Amazon today for under $70 and that includes free shipping and returns. That’s very inexpensive for a top selling seat. The Serenade is designed for babies from 5 pounds to 35 pounds and is rear facing. I think the maximum weight from what I’ve learned through owners is that 30 pounds is more of the upper baby weight. However this is still good. There are only 13 owner reviews on Amazon but they average 4.5 stars out of 5 stars possible. The negatives mentioned are that it’s a pretty heavy seat at just under 12 pounds and this makes it a little bulky to carry around shopping but doable. Another negative was that one owner said it didn’t fit into the back seat of her car which was a compact car. Overall however the reviews were positive. 
The Chicco Keyfit 30 is Number One Best Seller for Infant Seats on AmazonThe Chicco Keyfit 30 is number one in many infant car seat reviews and also scores number one on the Amazon best seller list. The Keyfit is a very safe and plush seat. The Keyfit is designed for use by babies from 4 pounds to 30 pounds maximum. The seat has an insert which keeps even the tiniest or premature babies snug. The Keyfit has over 200 owner reviews averaging 4.5 stars out of 5 stars possible. It’s a light seat only weighing around 9 pounds which makes it easier to carry while shopping or whatever. The price is higher than the Serenade at less than $160 today. This includes free shipping and returns. If price isn’t an object, the Keyfit is the preferable seat.
