The Safety 1st Complete Air or Air Protect car seat is also a convertible seat. It’s rear facing from your child’s weight of 5 – 40 pounds and forward facing from 22-50. These numbers also depend on how tall your child is. The air protect feature is technology that the Safety 1st Car Seats company has introduced. The air protect system is designed to further protect your child’s head and increase infant car seat safety. Side impact crashes are extremely dangerous for newborns and young children. The system releases an exact amount of air in the event of a side impact crash which reduces the head being thrown around.
